Financial recession in today's Finland is something that everyone here has heard of, but necessarily has not been in concrete contact with. In an attempt to document this somewhat abstract phenomenon, I stumbled upon a sight where loads of empty business premises were literally covered up with all kind of visual nonsense. This sight kept repeating particularly in shopping malls that I visited. All of them had their own way of camouflaging empty spaces, whether it was a printed wallpaper in the windows or a children's carousel to distract the passing people's eye.
I guess It's bad for the business to show how things really are.
