I have always found it difficult to be in tune with mundane business life. I have only been hired to a “real job” once in my life. I worked in an amusement park and though I’ve always considered myself an honorable person I later noticed that I felt the urge to somehow protest against the unfair deal between me and the company.
How much of us is defined by what we do? How much of me is gone if I get fired? How can I, and should I, assure myself that I’m not replacable at any moment?
Pictures of me replacing you. Just for a minute. How does it feel? After all, I am anybody—prepare to pack your stuff.
Images shot at actual workplaces by the person whose job I am mimicking, exhibited as an installation with photographs and video interviews of the employees.
